QOVES research team ran a study comparing AI and human perceptions of facial attractiveness.
QOVES recently ran an online experiment to answer the question of whether freckles impact someone's attractiveness. The research team is currently analyzing the data and will share the results shortly.
QOVES is interested in supporting scientific research that provides empirical answers to two key questions: (i) What makes a face attractive? (ii) What works to improve facial attractiveness?
QOVES' Facial Perception Research Program has received an exempt determination following independent review by Advarra's Institutional Review Board (IRB). Advarra determined that the submitted project qualifies for exemption under federal research regulations (45 CFR 46.104(d)(2)), meaning that it can proceed as submitted without ongoing IRB review.
QOVES is studying how LLMs like Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Grok rate facial attractiveness, and where AI judgments diverge from human raters.
